Terms of Service

BuildCAD AI (buildcad.ai) is run by Reshot Technologies, a company registered in France ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use the website, the app and the MCP connector. By creating an account or buying credits or a plan, you agree to them. Questions: hello@buildcad.ai.

1. The service and its limits

BuildCAD AI uses AI to turn your descriptions and photos into 3D CAD models, measures them against your requirements and lets you adjust them with sliders. AI makes mistakes, and the automatic checks only cover what they measure. A design can look right and still be wrong.

• Check every design (dimensions, fit, strength, material) before you print, machine or rely on it.
• You are responsible for the parts you make and how you use them, especially anything that carries a load, holds pressure, touches food, goes in a vehicle or could hurt someone if it fails.
• We do not promise that a design is fit for a particular purpose, meets a standard or works with a specific printer, material or product.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google account. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your account to yourself, and do not create several accounts to collect free credits. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Credits

Requests to the AI designer use credits. One credit is worth $0.01 of our list price. Each request is charged while it works, from what it actually uses (AI and computing), and the app shows the credits used on every request. Nobody can know the exact cost of a request before it runs: the app shows the usual range instead.

• New accounts get 200 free credits, once.
• A request needs at least 20 credits to start or to continue. Each time a request has used 300 credits, it stops and asks you whether to continue or to finish with what it has built.
• If your credits run out during a request, it pauses between two steps and keeps its work, with no time limit. You can add credits and continue it, or stop it and keep what it has built. The step that was running when your credits ran out is finished at our cost: your balance never goes below zero.
• Moving sliders, saving versions and downloading files (STL, 3MF, STEP) are free. Requests that fail on our side are refunded in full. Questions the designer asks you back cost what they use, usually a few credits.
• Plan credits are renewed each month and do not roll over: what is left of them ends at the next renewal. They are used before your other credits. Free credits and credit packs do not expire, including after you cancel a plan.
• When we moved to these credits (October 2026), each credit you had became 10 credits, the same value.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refunded once used.

4. Plans and credit packs

• Maker and Pro plans are billed monthly or yearly. Each month of a plan gives you its monthly credits (Maker 1,200, Pro 2,900), yearly plans included, in place of what was left of the previous month's plan credits.
• Plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance before any price change applies to you.
• You can cancel any time from Manage billing on the Billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then stops. It does not renew.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases with no subscription.

5. Payments and prices

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Prices are shown in your local currency and include VAT where applicable. Businesses can add a VAT number at checkout.

6. Refunds

We do not refund credits that have been used. If something went wrong with a payment (a double charge, a renewal after you cancelled, a charge you do not recognise), email hello@buildcad.ai within 30 days and we will put it right.

7. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)

If you live in the EU or the UK and buy as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Credits and plans are digital content and services that we provide immediately. When you buy, you ask us to start right away and you agree that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as you use any of the credits from that purchase.

If you have not used any credits from a purchase, you can still withdraw within 14 days of buying it: email hello@buildcad.ai and we will refund you in full.

8. The free MCP connector

The MCP connector lets you design with BuildCAD AI from your own AI assistant (Claude, Cursor and others) at no cost. It is subject to fair-use limits, such as a daily number of CAD runs, which we may change to keep the service available for everyone. Your AI assistant's own terms apply to what you send it.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use BuildCAD AI to:

• design weapons, firearms or their parts, or anything meant to hurt people;
• make anything illegal where you live or where it will be used;
• copy designs or brands you do not have the right to use;
• abuse the service: overload it, scrape it, get around credit or usage limits, or try to access other people's data.

We may refuse a request or remove content that breaks these rules.

10. Your designs

You own the designs you create and the files you download, and you can use them for any lawful purpose. You give us permission to store and process your messages, photos and designs only to run the service for you. We do not sell your designs or use them to train AI models. We may look at designs and agent runs to fix problems, prevent abuse and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using BuildCAD AI at any time, and ask us to delete your account and data by email. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut BuildCAD AI down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your files.

12. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for damage caused by parts made from designs created with BuildCAD AI. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. For important changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using BuildCAD AI after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan and stop using the service.
